We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Technician to join our mental health treatment team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering TMS therapy and providing support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and manage TMS treatment appointments
- Administer TMS treatments according to prescribed protocols
- Accurately position the TMS equipment's electromagnetic coil for effective treatment
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during sessions
- Explain TMS procedures and potential effects to patients
- Answer patient questions and provide emotional support
- Assist patients in completing psychiatric rating scales after sessions
- Record detailed session notes and collaborate with TMS-certified psychiatrists
- Maintain and calibrate TMS equipment
- Verify medical insurance authorizations
- Manage electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Successful completion of TMS certification (training will be provided)
- Experience in healthcare administration or direct patient care
- Proficiency in electronic health record software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Current CPR certification
Qualifications:
- Experience working with patients with anxiety and depression
- Familiarity with psychiatric rating scales
- Background in mental health or neurology
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Capable of providing physical support to patients as needed
