What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Medical Receptionist position at Richmond Heart and Vascular Associates?
This position will have responsibility for:
- Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone
- Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues
- Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
- Notifying providers of patient arrivals and monitoring patient wait times
- Ensuring availability of treatment information by accurately inputting and and updating patient information into the electronic medical record
- Verifying insurance and financial information and collecting patient co-payments
Skills and Experience:
- High School or equivalent
- Two or more years Medical Office Front Desk experience
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
- Customer service focus
- AthenaHealth EMR experience strongly preferred
