What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Insurance Coordinator position at Richmond Physical Therapy?
We are Privately owned Physical Therapy practice with locations on Staten Island.
We are looking for back office medical insurance coordinator. Primary responsibilities include:
· Verifies patient insurance coverage to ensure patient is eligible on the date of service.
· Review initial benefits, re-verification of benefits, and questions/clarification on benefits
· Knowledge of third party payer requirements.
· Must be proficient in insurance verification process using on-line techniques.
· Complete pre-certification and authorization of patient visits and admissions, as needed, in a timely manner and notate in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
· Follow up with patients until all information requested has been gathered or arrangements have been made according to policy
· Other duties as assigned and needed by the department
We will provide training but one year experience in above is required.
We are looking for the following hours:
Monday to Friday 9 am to 3 pm
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
