WE ARE SEEKING TO FILL A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN POSITION IN OUR MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to help with the overall successful functionality of the production lab. We work in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about finding ideal candidates to help our organization succeed. Our goal is to create a motivated and positive workspace with associates who are eager to learn and grow. We maintain a staff of over 100 permanent associates, plus as many as 200 seasonal associates depending on the time of year. Our business is highly cyclical, with two busy seasons per year – spring and fall. The Maintenance Technician position is considered a permanent role, reporting to the Maintenance Manager and assisting with the repair and overall maintenance of various equipment within the lab.
The Maintenance Technician will be the primary support for mechanical issues reported by lab associates that could delay the production and success of each department. During certain times of the year, this position will have a heavy focus on the operation and maintenance of the HP Indigo Press. Job Responsibilities:
- Repair faulty equipment units, ranging from digital printers, cutters, assorted pieces of finishing equipment, tables and chairs, etc., as reported by lab associates.
- Perform general maintenance of basic building utilities.
- Plan and schedule repairs (as needed).
- Inspect printers, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
- Be open to assisting with a wide range of potential support requests from lab associates.
- Collaborate and communicate with lab associates on shift, as well as the Maintenance Manager, to develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures (as needed).
- Troubleshoot and fix press-related issues, conducting regular maintenance, and implementing required adjustments.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices is required.
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Skilled in handling mechanical components and diagnosing problems.
- Capable of identifying and resolving mechanical issues with machinery/printing equipment.
- Knowledge of digital printing workflows, press functionality, and maintenance practices preferred.
- HVAC or Electrical certification or licensure preferred.
- Good physical condition and the strength/stamina/capability of handling heavy equipment.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Have a high level of interpersonal skills to interact with fellow associates in a pleasant and respectful manner.
- Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from leadership.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
