WE ARE SEEKING TO FILL A PERFORMANCE SUPERVISOR POSITION IN OUR QUALITY CONTROL/SHIPPING DEPARTMENT:
We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to help with the overall successful functionality of the production lab within our QC/Shipping Department. We work in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about finding ideal candidates to help our organization succeed. Our goal is to create a motivated and positive workspace with employees who are eager to learn and grow. The Performance Supervisor will report to the Operations Coordinator and assist them in the overall operation of the production floor, strategy development, and in providing functional direction to all associates under your supervision. We’ll look to you to roll up your sleeves and truly get involved in the production process, including necessary troubleshooting and project improvement. Job Responsibilities:
- Direct all activities related to operations and production in accordance with RPL's business plan and the strategic goals of the company.
- Collaborates with the Operations Coordinator and sets strategic goals and vision for the QC/Shipping Department, as well as short- and long-term goals for all associates under this role’s supervision.
- Directs and manages the overall production plan for the QC/Shipping Department, including supervising the day-to-day operations that come with implementation.
- Collaborates with department support leadership, including Area Leads, Training, and Process Advisors on the determination of materials, space, equipment, and personnel needs, as well as the development and implementation of processes, procedures, assignment, and execution of functional responsibilities, and determination of budget and costs constraints.
- Evaluates performance against production goals and adjusts allocations of resources (e.g., personnel, equipment, materials) as needed to optimize quality and amount of equipment, machinery, and components produced, market share of customers, quality of services provided, and cost-efficiency of operations.
- Manages direct reports, assigns work to staff, provides coaching and training, sets goals, is accountable for performance evaluation, plans staff development, and makes and approves people management decisions either alone or in collaboration with management and HR.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively apply MS Excel and other analysis tools to real-world problem-solving.
- Must be flexible, innovative, and comfortable in setting own priorities.
- Good understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven track record leading teams to accomplish outlined goals and objectives.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Technical, or Educational disciplines strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant management or teaching experience.
