Ricket Law Firm LLC is a female-owned catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation law firm representing only plaintiffs in the Greater Kansas City area.
We are looking for a Legal/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be highly organized and responsible for providing support to the firm including but not limited to: answering phone calls from clients and other providers, collecting investigation and medical documents, marketing, and scheduling meetings. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a fast paced environment, have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, with strong attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic legal team.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and request all necessary documents and information from client and other providers to investigate the case.
- Organize and maintain legal documents and files.
- Handle incoming phone calls.
- Communicate with clients, providers, and witnesses.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence with high attention to detail.
- Answer phone calls and emails and take messages and intake information.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings.
- Schedule appointments and meetings with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the case.
- Provide administrative support to paralegals and attorneys, including scheduling court appearances, filing documents with the court, and managing calendars.
- Run any necessary errands. (Travel reimbursed).
- Plan travel, including flights and other ground transportation.
- Take accurate and comprehensive notes at meetings.
- Maintain client and firm confidentiality.
- Be a proactive team player willing to take on tasks to move cases forward.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
