We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Custodial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Custodial Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within our facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors, walls, and surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, and restock supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and break rooms.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues.
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
- Handle special cleaning projects as assigned.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for events or meetings.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work is advantageous.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate cleaning machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and dust.
