Job Overview: We are searching for a motivated candidate who is able to assist all program participants one-on one with job coaching, encouragement, training and development while documenting their benchmarks throughout the program with minimum supervision. Work is reviewed through reports and meetings with supervisor for adherence to goals and objectives, policies and procedures. ESE Classroom experience a plus.
Program description: Project SEARCH is a school-to-work transition program designed for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are either in their last year of high school or are recent graduates. Through this program, young adults develop the tools necessary for employment, and skills needed for self-determination, management and self-advocacy.
Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in education, rehabilitative science, business or a related degree, OR
- Associate’s Degree or two years of college from an accredited college or university and have two years of documented direct experience with recipients with intellectual or developmental disabilities, OR
- One year of college from an accredited college or university and have three years of documented direct experience in working with recipients with intellectual or developmental disabilities, OR
- High School diploma/GED from an accredited school and four years of direct professional experience working with recipients with intellectual or developmental disabilities may substitute for college on a year for year basis.
Required Pre-Employment Screenings:
- Must pass local & federal criminal background screening including drug testing.
- Must possess clean driving record (3 years).
- Must be a legal driver in the State of Florida
