Serves event leaders and guest groups with exceptional customer service by providing intentional meeting room set up and quality audio/visual support.
Responsibilities
- Set-up, breakdown, and cleaning of event meeting areas including tables, chairs, audio/visual equipment, and other furnishings
- Perform shipping and receiving functions related to events such as loading, unloading, delivering or moving conference materials
- Assist as needed with specialized duties of the A/V and Conference Services Unit such as: operating AV equipment during events, audio recording, equipment inventory control
- Aid Program/Event Leaders during conferences and events concerning set-up details, changes, special events, moving supplies, etc.
- Ability to work and solve problems under pressure
- Ability to operate audio/visual equipment unsupervised and with excellence in all circumstances.
- Must be patient, polite, and friendly with program leaders, guests, and employees in all departments
- Able to make good decisions
- Able to function effectively as part of a team as well as to produce high quality work on an individual basis
- High School Diploma required
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds at times
- Work on a computer for an extended period of time
- Operate heavy equipment/machinery
- Work at heights up to 100 feet on catwalk platforms and in lighting coves
- Good body mobility with good range of motion from floor level to overhead
- Work will include significant amounts of bending, stretching, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and lifting on a daily basis
- Frequent weekend and evening work
- Able to work in a variety of work areas
