What are the responsibilities and job description for the Individual Young Adult Support Person position at Ridgeline Pediatric Day Health?
Ridgeline Pediatric in Grass Valley, CA is looking for a fun and motivated support person to join our small team of staff. Our ideal candidate is compassionate, attentive, motivated, reliable, and likes to have fun. This is a flexible position. All training is done on site or within the community and is paid. This job would include working directly one on one with a young adult client with special needs for the day. Must be willing to learn about client specific interests such as Harry Potter, Avatar, My Little Pony etc. Job may include playing board games, video games, and role playing. Could also include drawing, painting and doing other art and related projects and/or music with client depending on client specific interests.
Responsibilities
- Assisting client with ADLs.
- Obtaining vital signs.
- Providing enrichment activities under the direction of an activity director.
- Facility cleaning/sanitization per policies.
- Playing board games or video games.
- Pretend play.
- Ability to drive client into town for community outings.
- Ability to provide off site care to client when scheduled.
Qualifications
- Completed and Clean Background Check
- CPR certification
- Professional in appearance and work ethic
- Willing to learn adaptive language skills
- Clean driving record with driver's license
