Job Description
Established local healthcare provider seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional receptionist to join our team.
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and suppling information to patients, families, and other visitors at the front desk or by telephone.
Knowledge Requirements:
· Ability to act in a professional and courteous manner with peers, visitors, and patients.
· Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
· Ability to write simple correspondence clearly, including telephone messages.
· Ability to maintain professional demeanor at all times, including potentially difficult and confrontational situations with patients, families, or other visitors.
· Ability to handle several tasks accurately and simultaneously in a distracting environment.
· Ability to communicate professionally with diverse population, including staff, physicians, and referral sources, patients, families, and the public, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
· A basic knowledge of office functions and procedures, including computer experience.
· 2 years’ prior experience in a reception position, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Job Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Must be able to pass an AHCA Level II Background screening
· Must be drug-free
