Job Description: Charge Nurse
The Charge Nurse has a consistent leadership presence on the unit to which they are assigned. They must have a strong foundation of clinical knowledge and skills on which to base judgments and make decisions, organizing abilities to direct nursing tasks and operations, and interpersonal skills to facilitate communication and the work of others.
Core Functions and Competencies:
- Partners with the CNO or designee, Nurse Manager/Program Director, and Milieu Coordinators to ensure that the operations and flow of the unit are coordinated and timely.
- Facilitates coordination of patient care activities; e.g., collaborates with providers, social work, case management, fellow nurses, and other disciplines.
- Consistently attends and contributes to Treatment Team.
- Identifies priorities for patient care management.
- Makes and posts appropriate assignments of patients to staff and all patient care-related activities at the start of the shift.
- Facilitates admissions and discharges in a timely manner and completes all associated paperwork.
- Ensures completeness and accuracy of patient treatment plans routinely.
- Continually updates and revises plans as changes occur in patients' conditions.
Your Experience Matters
We're looking for a highly qualified and experienced Charge Nurse who meets the following requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred.
- Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Georgia State Board of Nursing.
- Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR/First Aid certification and successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior, including restraint and seclusion policies and CPI certification.

Compensation
This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position, and the expected compensation range is $36.00 to $38.00/hourly SIGN-ON BONUS. We're eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be given to experience and skill level.
Salary : $36 - $38
