What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Ridgewood Baptist Church?
The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to product clear financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings of company
- Pay bills
- Write checks necessary for business proceedings of the church
- Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly for congregation, and year-end)
- Monitor bank accounts
- Ensure timely processing of payroll
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA license may not be necessary, depending on experience or networks
- 3 years of experience in related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and/or Google Suite, QuickBooks experience
- Experience with non-profit accounting, especially with use of designated funds, is a plus
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills among staff and volunteers who assist
- Detail oriented
- 3-5 professional references
Salary : $20 - $30
