Job Summary
The Weekend Nursing Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the highest degree of quality care is maintained at RidgeWood Health Campus on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of Health Services and Assistant Director of Health Services to plan, develop, and direct nursing department functions on weekends.
- Make written and oral reports to the leadership team as necessary, concerning the operation of the nursing service department.
- Develop methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing admission assessments and baseline care planning for new admissions.
- Oversee and assist with resident care according to assessed resident status and established plans of care.
- Participate in the development, revision, and implementation of resident care plans.
- Support survey and mock-survey campus preparedness efforts.
- Notify supervisors, physicians, and residents' legal representatives of changes in condition and take appropriate action as required.
Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws and regulations that pertain to long-term care.
