Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within various facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all occupants. This role is vital in supporting the overall operations of our organization by providing high-quality custodial services.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure cleanliness.
- Conduct industrial cleaning duties as required, maintaining high standards of hygiene in all areas.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Execute commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas to promote a healthy environment.
- Maintain cleanliness in outdoor areas, including buffing floors and managing waste disposal.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Serve as a porter by transporting materials and supplies throughout the premises.
- Regularly inspect and maintain cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; must be able to lift and move items as needed.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
