Janitor and Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
• Carry out custodial duties in commercial, industrial, and residential settings as required.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and operational.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report needs for restocking.
• Maintain equipment used in cleaning processes to ensure proper functioning and longevity.

Skills

• Experience in commercial cleaning with a strong understanding of best practices.
• Proficiency in floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various floor types.
• Familiarity with residential painting is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures to support overall building upkeep.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay: $14.00 - $14.50 per hour
