Main Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all plant operations prioritize safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory adherence while fostering a strong safety culture.
- Oversee all manufacturing functions, including scheduling, purchasing, production, maintenance, quality, shipping, and receiving.
- Drive operational efficiency through continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and P&L performance to achieve profitability targets.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for on-time delivery, production efficiency, and quality.
- Optimize cost control over labor, inventory, capital expenditures, and supplier management, achieving annual savings goals.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Customer Care, Engineering, Finance, and HR to support business growth.
- Oversee supplier negotiations for raw materials and strategic sourcing to drive cost containment and reliability.
- Maintain and improve plant facilities, equipment, and preventive maintenance programs to ensure operational reliability.
- Implement structured production schedules, demand/supply planning, and daily performance tracking.
- Lead the execution of new product launches and operational projects, providing on-site technical support as needed.
- Develop, document, and train teams on standardized operating procedures to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Conduct regular production meetings, plant walkthroughs, and compliance audits, implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain required certifications.
- Represent the company externally, fostering positive relationships with suppliers, partners, and the community.
- Drive employee engagement through town halls, staff meetings, and performance management initiatives.
- Strengthen leadership succession planning by mentoring and developing high-potential employees.
- Improve workforce stability by reducing turnover, absenteeism, and enhancing team engagement.
- Lead cultural transformation efforts, promoting accountability, innovation, and a high-performance work environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business.
- Lean or Six Sigma qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in developing and implementing solutions for complex manufacturing and supply chain challenges.
- Strong project and process management skills.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop teams.
- Ability to handle conflict and challenge direct reports constructively.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
