What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist/Front Desk position at Riemer Dermatology?
PRIOR EXPERIENCE AS A MEDICAL OFFICE RECEPTIONIST IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
The ideal candidate for this position must always be upbeat, cordial, courteous, and professional in appearance and demeanor. The position requires excellent phone and communication skills, the ability to manage a high call volume, the capacity to work at a rapid pace, and excellent customer service abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all patients, visitors and guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with patients, patient's family, visitors, and staff at all times.
- Appointment scheduling, confirmation, and rescheduling, including encouraging patients to book follow-up appointments for maintenance treatments.
- Respond to phone calls in a timely, polite, and professional manner, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of all surgical and non-surgical procedures offered at our practice.
- Check patients in and out and collect payment at the time of service.
- Assist with administrative duties, including the maintenance of accurate patient records in the EMR.
- Maintain expert knowledge of our practice's services and products to give accurate information and resolve patient issues to create a high-quality patient experience.
- Always demonstrate a positive attitude, a well-groomed appearance, and professional attire.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA regulations and company protocols, policies, and procedures.
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skill.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
