ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy highway construction projects
- Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Support the management of project schedules, resources, and timelines
- Assist in navigating scope changes and resolving any issues, conflicts, or construction problems that arise
- Prepare and maintain project reports, documentation, billings and job record files
- Review and evaluate daily costs, time sheets, truck, and equipment usage
- Monitor compliance with safe work requirements, and document and ensure corrective measures are implemented
- Coordinate with team members to ensure that all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. are in place to support construction activities and progress the project schedule
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- Experience with asphalt, concrete, grading, and underground utility construction preferred
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices, materials, and methods
- Strong organizational, quantitative, and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
