The Director of Production & Sourcing oversees the entire production lifecycle process of Rifle Paper Co’s mainline products. They provide an overarching strategy for the company’s sourcing initiatives, quality assurance/quality control, and on-time delivery to our warehouse.

- Oversee entire product lifecycle of mainline production, from material procurement to product delivery
- Communicate with factories – both overseas and domestic – on product development, cost negotiations, production/sampling timelines, etc.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are optimized for efficiency and quality control
- Work cross-functionally with Design, Merchandising and Planning teams to align and execute on brand vision, product strategies and financial objectives
- Generate timeline and key milestone dates for all teams to ensure on time development and production delivery.
- Develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy to ensure a diversified supplier base
- Identify potential risks within the global supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Build / Maintain partnerships with key suppliers across the globe
- Source new suppliers, materials and techniques as needed
- Travel domestically and internationally to initiate and maintain strong supplier relationships, train factories on standards, and troubleshoot issues.
- Strategically negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement without compromising quality
- Initiate holistic cost reduction strategy to optimize production, materials, packaging and realign our costs with current business needs, identify was to reduce risk if global supply environment shifts (new tariffs, etc)
- Lead effort to strategize and launch freight consolidation tactics overseas to help flow inventory more efficiently and reduce costs
- Work with internal QC Team to maintain and optimize existing quality control systems to ensure the high standards of product quality and compliance
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, labor, and trade regulations
- Lead the growing production, QC and logistics team
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture
