What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Recruiting Assistant position at Rigel Pharmaceutical?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Recruiting Assistant will be responsible for administering and providing effective and timely support to our employees, managers, and the HR team in the areas of recruitment, on-boarding, termination, and other employee lifecycle activities. This position is a 3 month temporary assignment and up to 20 hours per week.
Pay Rate- $20- $30/Hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proactively partner with HR Business Partner and recruiter to assist with the recruitment process, including:
- Post jobs internally, externally, and job boards
- Initiating background checks and vendor credentialing process for relevant field employees
- Reference checking
- Generate offer letters, new hire packets and personnel files
- Serve as recruiting liaison for candidates and hiring managers as needed
- Coordinate travel with non-local candidates
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or HR certification required
- Minimum 2 years of part-time professional experience
- Excellent critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in HR systems
- Ability to handle highly sensitive, proprietary and confidential information appropriately
- Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service
- Must be detail oriented, resourceful, and flexible
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and take initiative
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments

- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk; sit; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
