Job Summary:
The Facility and Construction Manager oversees facility planning, construction, renovation, and maintenance to align with Riggs Cat's objectives. This role ensures projects are completed efficiently, safely, and on budget while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to maintain high-quality standards.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of company buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage facility-related budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and control expenses.
- Coordinate space planning, office layouts, and workplace safety initiatives.
- Oversee security, janitorial, and landscaping services.
- Lead construction and renovation projects from concept to completion.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and government agencies.
- Monitor project progress, quality control, and adherence to specifications.
- Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, permits, and safety regulations.
Requirements
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in facility and construction management, preferably in a large organization.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and facility management systems.
- Strong budgeting, negotiation, and cost-control abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications are advantageous: such as PMP, LEED AP, or Facility Management Professional (FMP)
