J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers is looking for an experienced individual to conduct both process & final inspections of manufactured/fabricated products to ensure they are of acceptable quality & meet customer specifications at our Cumberland, MD facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in the production process, and tests products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, mechanical and electrical functionality
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Modifications of existing quality or production standards are recommended to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- When necessary, coordinates destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
- Observes and complies with all the provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS.
- Observes and complies with all safety rules, always including the use of PPE.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
