We’re searching for a Camp Lead who, in partnership with the Area Manager, leads summer
camp day to day by building collaborative relationships, and ensuring joy for each and every

What This Role Entails
Before Summer Camp In partnership with the Area Manager:
- You will start planning summer camp beginning in the spring.
- Partner with program managers at all summer camp feeder schools with
- marketing and communication to district families.
- Send the welcome letter and all necessary paperwork before and after each week of camp.
- Ensure all paperwork is on file for each camper before day one.
- Lead Summer Camp live training
- Join and/or review all summer camp training calls starting in April.
- Act as the day to day manager for summer camp staff.
- Create a working environment where all staff feel heard and take responsibility for different parts of the day.
- Coordinate curriculum ordering and daily activities.
- Delivering quality Summer camp programs for children using the internally crafted curriculum.
- Create groups in camp that follow the daily flow and camp components..
- Manage and maintain safety standards.
- Ensure that all camper paperwork including but not limited to Right At School waivers and child care licensing paperwork is completed.
- The point person for families.
- The point person for all mystery guests.
- Work closely with school partners staff to ensure access to indoor and outdoor space needed during the summer.
- Experience with working amongst competing priorities and delivering quality service to all stakeholders
- High school diploma or GED completed
- Experience working with children and knowledge of unique and special needs
- Coursework or training in child development and/or related field
- Communication skills; oral, written, and visual with adults and children
- Ability to model professional standards when dealing with students, parents, staff, and community
- Familiarity with Google technology software or willingness to learn
- Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
- First Aid and CPR-in-person
- Cleared tuberculosis test
- Proof of MMR
- 18 years of age
- Proof of High School diploma/GED required
- Completed the DCF 40 clock-hour Introductory Child Care Training
- Completed DCF Part II specialized training course, “Special Needs Appropriate Practices”
- Completed eight hours of in-service training in serving children with disabilities
- Completed the DCFS 10-hour “School-Age Appropriate Practices” specialized training module
- Completed the the 5-hour “Understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices”
- Completed the 5-hour “School Age Appropriate Practices”
- Hold an active Director Credential Requirements for Before-School and/or After-School Sites Only
