What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler II position at RightStone?
We are looking for hard working Assembler in Houston, TX who will be responsible for assembling small parts using basic hand tools and soldering irons. This role would suit somebody who has background in component in both Through-hole and SMT. Follow ISO9000 work instructions to assemble and refurbish units. Work Schedule: 5:30am-2pm M-F
Contract: Direct to hire
Essential Duties:
- Assemble and solder small parts.
- Cut and modify plastic parts.
- Point to point wiring.
- Solder Through-hole and Fine Pitch SMT components to PCBA.
- Read and follow ISO9000 work instructions.
- Work on multiple product types.
- QA and test units to confirm work has been done according to work instructions.
- Escalate issues to Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Assist with on-the-job training for new employees.
- Enter completed work into computer tracking system.
- Run basic tests to confirm work has been done properly.
- Program firmware into units using a computer.
- Cut returned units open for refurbishment using rotary tool.
- Glue units closed using 2-part methacrylate adhesive.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of soldering to an IPC610 class II standard in SMT and TH soldering
- Ability to solder Through-hole components and wires
- Ability to solder SMT components
- Ability to do basic task on a computer
- Ability to read and understand ISO work instructions
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years solder experience with SMT and TH components down to 0402 size
- 2 years mechanical assembly experience
- MS Office including Excel experience - Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in SMT soldering
- Experience with flashing firmware
- Experience in QA
- IPC610 certified
- Experience with 2-part epoxies or other adhesives or potting compounds
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
- Occasionally may need to reach, stoop, or kneel.
