Position Summary :

The Warranty Manager is responsible for managing the staff and daily operations of the Warranty Department. This role has great career paths and growth opportunities.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities :

Warranty Administration & Compliance :

  • Oversee the entire warranty claims process, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company policies.
  • Accurately process, submit, and track warranty claims to manufacturers and vendors.
  • Review warranty policies, bulletins, and updates to ensure adherence to the latest guidelines.
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit records for all warranty transactions.
  • Process Improvement & Cost Recovery :

  • Maximize warranty recovery by identifying opportunities for eligible claims.
  • Monitor claim approvals and denials, appealing rejected claims when necessary.
  • Work with service and parts departments to improve warranty claim accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices to streamline the warranty process and reduce administrative errors.
  • Collaboration & Training :

  • Train service advisors and technicians on proper warranty documentation and procedures.
  • Communicate warranty updates and policy changes to relevant personnel.
  • Act as a liaison between Rihm Kenworth and manufacturers, ensuring a strong working relationship.
  • Reporting & Analysis :

  • Generate and analyze warranty reports to track claim performance and identify trends.
  • Provide recommendations to management on ways to enhance warranty recovery and efficiency.
  • Monitor key warranty metrics and adjust processes as needed to meet company goals.
  • Education & Essential Qualifications :

    Required :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warranty administration or a related field, preferably in the commercial truck or automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in warranty claim processing software and dealership management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Preferred

  • Experience with PACCAR, Cummins, and other heavy-duty truck manufacturer warranties.
  • Knowledge of service department operations in a dealership setting.
  • Previous leadership or managerial experience.
  • Experience with CDK and Decisiv management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications, including Excel
