We currently have an opening for a qualified Marketing Director.
The Marketing Director's primary objective is to develop, execute and direct the marketing program. This includes strategic planning, branding/brand management, pursuit tracking and proposal and interview management, client satisfaction initiatives, and implementing best management practices for marketing efforts and business development.
*The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Executive and Business Development teams to develop and implement marketing strategies that increase revenue in key markets.
- Oversee the development of effective promotion and advertising strategies within approved budget guidelines; to ensure that all promotional materials such as brochures, newspaper announcements, etc., are designed to enhance the professional and technical reputation of the Company and its staff.; to appoint and maintain liaison with outside agencies as required.
- Promote the image of the Company, its staff, and its services in all approved marketing areas, and assist other marketing personnel in initiating and performing promotional activities such as publication of technical papers and blog articles.
- Implement the marketing strategy through supervisory coordination and efficient operation of proposal/interview preparation. Oversee the entire proposal development process, from kick-off through quality control.
- Facilitate the creation and implementation of Riley's annual business development/strategic plan.
- Partner with the Executive and Business Development teams to organize client information relative to project evaluation, beginning with pre-project client contact through Project Assessment Reports (when applicable) and post-project evaluation.
- Oversee the maintenance of Riley's prospect/lead database (CRM system). Use the CRM system to record and analyze trends and processes related to job acquisition.
- Develop and maintains marketing program effectiveness measurement metrics. Provide reporting and analyses to company leadership.
- Oversee brand development and management. Monitor and report on the image of the Company in its marketing communities and to make the changes needed to maintain a high-quality image that accurately reflects the Company's professional capabilities.
- Maintain favorable relationships and serve as primary point of contact with the media and ensure that all Company promotional activities receive a maximum exposure.
- Oversee quality control on all marketing initiatives.
- Responsible for marketing effort scheduling and execution. Conduct regular marketing team meetings. Own and maintain the Marketing Department Project Tracking System.
- Responsible for staff professional or technical development.
- Assist the Company's professional staff, as required, in speaking engagements, societies, meetings, associations, seminars, etc., in which the Company's participation will result in favorable promotional exposure.
- Conduct client and market research in support of business development activities.
- Make recommendations regarding market approach and project news.
- Prepare marketing budget and consult with the President on budget recommendations, and measure performance against approved budget objectives.
- Establish and maintain proper staffing levels and overall management within the marketing group, including performance reviews, work allocation, mentoring and training of staff.
- Provide business intelligence on clients, competitors and the firm to support project pursuits.
- Participate in the firm's professional development program. Attend both in-house and external meetings and training events.
- Oversee firm image and visibility efforts including, but not limited to, preparation of news releases, coordination of trade journal articles, client surveys, advertising, local promotions, project promotions, etc.
- Maintain an active reading program of construction, A/E and marketing/graphic design industry publications to enhance industry knowledge and apply this knowledge to applicable marketing and proposal strategies.
- Identify staff professional development opportunities and provide in-house industry training to colleagues when warranted.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism or Communications, required.
- 10 years of direct industry experience, or 15 years of marketing or comparable experience.
- Master's degree preferred but not required.
- Relevant Professional registration, certification or accreditation a plus.
- Mastery of office software is a must, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Functional experience with Adobe InDesign and Acrobat is necessary. Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is very favorable.
- Knowledge of any major or industry-specific Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is required.
- Must have the ability to work under deadlines and be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills and confidentiality.
