Compensation
$100,000 - $175,000 annually, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Manage AIA billing, general ledgers, and profit & loss statements (PNLs).
- Reconcile six bank accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting for 45 active jobs.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, including project accountants, accounts payable staff, payroll, and HR.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including managing debits and credits accurately.
- Utilize and manage accounting software, including Sage and CR 300, to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets, forecast revenue, and monitor financial performance.
- Prepare and review documentation for external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounting department.
Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Master’s degree and CPA certification are strongly preferred however not required.

Experience:
- 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Proven track record in managing financial operations in the construction industry.
- Mechanical Construction industry a large plus, but not required

Skills:
- Expertise in AIA billing, PNL management, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and CR 300.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
