BACK-UP MIXER
Rimports is currently seeking an individual for the role of a Back-Up Mixer at our Provo, Utah location. This position work as a team with the Production Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, Quality Control, Labelers, and Machine Operators. The Back-Up Mixer supplies production with accurate fragrance & wax as needed. Communication is essential in this role to ensure all production requirements and deadlines are being met. This role will report to the Production Supervisor. Keep fragrance barrels/totes stocked and organized according to the production schedule
- Be aware of precautions needed when dealing with chemicals used in the production process. Be aware of proper clean up procedures for spills
- Must certify in-house to operate forklifts & walkie ridies competently
- Communicate with Mixer, Quality & Machine Operators to ensure accuracy when switching tanks & changing fragrances
- Ensure that accurate labels with sufficient quantities are distributed to Labelers
- Ensure re-melt is organized & being used with corresponding pours
- Supplies Machine Operators with clamshells
- Assist in the Machine Operator training process
- Transfer wax when needed
- Put away production materials from the receiving area as needed
- Assist with mixing/labeling color if Color Technician is unavailable
- Communicate with Color Technician regarding all color issues or color supply needs
- Communicate with production management any production/wax issues
- Periodically fill-in for Mixer when needed
- Report all safety concerns to Supervisor immediately
- Immediately clean up all fragrance & wax from floors; Keep work area clean & uncluttered
- Lift up to 50 pounds, lifting 30 pounds regularly
- Standing, bending, twisting, pushing & pulling repeatedly throughout a work shift
- Physically able to actively participate in a fast-paced production environment daily
Must have ability to rotate shifts as needed
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Program knowledge):
- Must be forklift certified.
- Needs manufacturing experience & understanding of mixing process.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Minimum 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of production & product lines
Bilingual English & Spanish preferred, but not required
High school graduate or GED preferred
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a pre-employment drug test
Work Environment:
The noise level on the production floor can be loud with the machines running. The combined odor of multiple fragrances may affect those with odor-sensitivities and could result in headaches the first couple of days. This position is performed inside.
- Cut resistant gloves must be worn when using razor knives or blades
- Protective gloves required when working with chemicals
- Fingernail length must be kept cut to the tip of the finger
- Closed-toe & slip-resistant shoes are required
- Hair must be pulled up & safety glasses worn when working near the production line/mixing area
- Lift up to 50 pounds, lifting 30 pounds regularly
- Must be able to grip, grasp, clench hands & twist wrists for long periods of time without difficulty or restriction
- Must be able to stand, bend, twist & move around for long periods of time without difficulty or restriction; Use proper lifting techniques when bending, lifting or pushing
- Be cautious of vehicles & people moving throughout work area
- Must have a high tolerance to smells/odors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay $20.00/hr.
Must be able to pass post-offer background check and drug test. Hiring status will be based on the results of background and drug testing.
