The Bridge Staff Engineer will assist in bridge inspections, structural design calculations, and drafting tasks using tools like MicroStation. This role involves working closely with licensed engineers, preparing reports, and contributing to the development of structural alternatives. As a Bridge Staff Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of engineers, maintaining effective communication within the team and with clients. This is a developmental role where you will receive training to progress as a Bridge Engineer, under the mentorship of a Senior Structural Engineer.
Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or equivalent fields of study from an ABET accredited institu
- tionEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
- dateEntry-level bridge inspection or design experience prefe
- rredBasic Familiarity with common bridge design pract
- icesFamiliarity with MicroStation and/or Aut
- oCADProficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- 50% local or regional travel (i.e. job sites) anticipated based upon business need for the first year of employment
