What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometrist (Part-time or Full-time) position at Rinehart Family Eye Care?
We are a fast-growing, independently owned private practice located about 1 hour north of Philadelphia and 45 minutes south of the Poconos. We are searching for a full or part-time associate to join us at our office in Fogelsville, PA. Our area offers a relatively low cost of living, highly-rated public schools, many beautiful local and state parks, ski resorts, great restaurants, and wineries.
Our doctors practice full scope optometry. We provide routine eye care to children and adults, perform complex contact lens fittings (including scleral lenses), co-manage refractive and cataract surgical patients, perform foreign body removal and treat a wide range of eye diseases, including glaucoma, dry eye and other ocular pathology. We strive to provide care using the latest technology and evidence-based medicine. While our exams focus primarily on providing quality care, we value developing strong relationships with each one of our patients and take the time to explain our findings to each patient.
We have optometric technicians to perform all pre-testing, ICare tonometry, OCT testing, retinal photography, visual field testing and contact lens I&R trainings.
Since this is a part-time position, we are flexible with the days worked per week.
Requirements:
· Doctor of Optometry Degree from a college or university recognized by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education or the American Optometric Association.
· Active Pennsylvania Optometric License
· Familiarity with electronic medical records.
