We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a School Bus Operations Coordinator. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating our school bus operations, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in school transportation services, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate a transportation program that meets all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as the daily instructional program and extracurricular activities.

Main Responsibilities

1. Coordinate a transportation program to meet all local, state, and federal laws and regulations and the daily instructional program and extracurricular activities.
2. Work with contractors to ensure that schedules are carried out properly; legally required background clearances and related reports have been secured and properly processed; that all drivers and vehicles comply with federal, state laws and regulations established by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation regarding pupil transportation.
3. Prepare routes and update bus schedules for all public, non-public, private, homeless, early intervention, and special education schools servicing the school district in order for all pupils to be transported in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
4. Communicate with bus drivers, contractors, crossing guards and school principals regarding transportation changes and assist the central administration in matters dealing with school delays and closings.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 3-5 years' experience with school transportation services
• CDL

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced computer skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
