What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grain Operator position at Ringneck Energy?
Position Summary:
Safely and efficiently load and unload raw materials, grain, ethanol, and by-products. Perform grain bin cleaning, inventory maintenance, and general grounds upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and operate the computerized DCS system for corn receiving, ethanol loading, and by-product loading.
- Follow procedures for plant area start-ups and shut-downs.
- Maintain daily update of cleaning and PM maintenance checklists and routine duties calendar.
- Interface with plant personnel to ensure adequate storage capacities are maintained.
- Collaborate with maintenance department to facilitate equipment maintenance and repair.
- Know and understand city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the facility.
- Assist in maintaining plant and grounds security and upkeep.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred.
- Associate degree or technical degree/certification preferred.
- Experience in dry-mill ethanol plant operation preferred.
- Experience in grain receiving facility operation preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Learns and works effectively with the plant's Distributed Control System (DCS).
- Punctual and timely in meeting performance requirements.
- Maintains professional working relationships with customers and employees at all levels.
