Key Responsibilities
- Prepare design calculations, plans, and specifications for water distribution and sanitary sewer collection projects.
- Prepare design plans, specifications, and estimates for the relocation or undergrounding of dry utilities such as electric, telecommunications, and gas.
- Prepare technical memorandums and cost estimates.
- Perform utility relocation coordination services for transportation projects.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams on preliminary, intermediate, and final design plans.
- Interact with other departments, clients, vendors, project managers, and engineers to ensure designs are consistent and coordinated.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
- Registration as an E.I.T. in Virginia is desirable.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in utility, land development, water/wastewater, or transportation engineering design is required.
- AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation experience is required.
- Able to work independently to perform basic design tasks.
- Must demonstrate teamwork and possess written and oral communication skills.
