What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance and CARF Accreditation Specialist position at Rio Grande ATP, Inc.?
The Quality Accordance Specialist position is primarily responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable policies, regulations, and standards of the organization. This includes active involvement in both the Continuous Quality Improvement efforts and the accreditation process of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
In addition, this individual shall be responsible for organizing and monitoring employee training to ensure RGATP remains current and fully compliant with requirements. The position shall also be tasked with facilitating the management and reporting of incidents, complaints and grievances, and contractual issues, as well as other matters as requested by the supervisor.
Education/Licensure/Certification: High School diploma/GED, preferably Associate or Bachelor Degree
Required Knowledge: Must be computer literate and be able to use all the Microsoft products, email, Excel, Power Point, Zoom, and use of Electronic Health Records systems.
Preferred Experience: At least two years working in Administrative and/or substance abuse treatment setting.
Essential Duties:
· Maintain a working knowledge of RGATP Policy & Procedures
· Manage Performance-Based Pay per each payroll.
· Maintain a working Knowledge of State, Federal and CARF Standards
· Co-ordinate and preform Quality Assurance Reviews monthly
· Conduct Quality Assurance Billing Review Quarterly
· Engage in Documentation Reviews and audits to ensure charts meet the standards enforced by Rio Grande ATP.
· Create and distribute surveys to assist in with the performance improvement CARF process
· Coordinate and facilitate meetings for CARD, Risk & Safety, and CQI Committee Meetings
· Assist with on going client, staff & referral source collecting data to assist with the identification of RGATP’s strengths, weakness and any areas of concern.
· Assists with editing of survey reports that are sourced for review and coordinates with team members for reviews of special reports such as one-year accreditation.
· Have the ability to understand, interpret and explain CARF standards, survey materials and the accreditation process.
· Coordinate and assist in conducting at least 2 safety drills and 3 tabletop exercises annually.
· Prepare for CARF survey every three years.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
