What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT COMPUTER/TECHNICIAN position at Rio Grande Hospital?
IT Computer/Technician: (full-time) Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Services local area and wide area network equipment, including servers, virtual servers, workstations and printer. Includes new equipment evaluation, network design and set-up, hardware maintenance, software support and user education. Associate’s in computer science, electronics or equivalent experience. On-call duty may be required.
Must have verbal skills to present information and ideas essential to supervisory duties and to understand general IT practice; capable of dealing with people and working closely medical staff; workable knowledge of safety procedures; must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language; must have patience and enthusiasm as well as the willingness and ability to handle difficult situations with good judgment; must be able to work as a team member; must be willing to learn.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: CompTIA A Minimum
Equipment Knowledge: Router, switches, AP, Windows and Linux Servers, Virtualization, Office 365
Education: High School Diploma, and CompTIA A or equivalent
Experience: 2 years’ experience in similar job
