Job Title: Elementary School Principal
Rio Hondo ISD Administration seeks a dedicated and experienced education leader to serve as the Elementary School Principal. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary educator to shape the academic future of our students.
About the Role
Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Schools, the successful candidate will provide leadership and supervision in administering the educational program of Rio Hondo Elementary. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and administering school programs consistent with district goals and objectives
- Providing leadership and direction to staff on ongoing evaluation and improvement of educational programs
- Promoting a safe and conducive learning environment that fosters individualized instruction, cooperative curriculum development, and student learning
Key Responsibilities
The Elementary School Principal will be responsible for:
- Ensuring Board policies and procedures are implemented and followed at the school
- Continuing professional growth through attending seminars, workshops, or professional meetings, or conducting research
- Encouraging staff to grow professionally and experiment with new approaches or strategies to teaching
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Master's degree in educational administration from an accredited college or university
- Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate
- Certified Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraise T-PESS Certified
Experience
A minimum of five years of experience as a classroom teacher, preferably in instructional leadership roles, is preferred.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $74,227 - $105,249, commensurate with experience.
