Ripa & Associates is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our team. As a Junior Estimator, you will work closely with our senior estimating team to assist in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates / bids for various private, public, municipal, and governmental construction projects.
Responsibilities :
- Performing all quantity takeoffs, or overseeing takeoffs performed by others, using Agtek, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
- Submit timely RFI to owner / engineer to ensure accurate proposals.
- Soliciting quotes from subs and suppliers. Provide ample time and quantities for vendors & subs to provide accurate quotes. Assist vendors / Subs in preparing responsible quotes.
- Assist estimator in preparing the estimate in B2W Estimate.
- Ensure that all applicable information (quotes, correspondence, addenda, etc.) is appropriate folder in the electronic bid folder for use by others.
- Once a job is won, prepare Sodding, Sidewalk, Cut-Fill reports, and other various exhibits to ensure proper hand-off to the project management team.
- Assist Estimator in preparation for hand-off meetings with the project management team.
- Continue to grow and learn estimating practices with the goal of becoming an Estimator in the future.
