Job Summary :
Oversee the corporate office logistics and facilities of 78,000 square feet. Facilities include offices, a workshop, and a warehouse like exhibit storage area for a multi-million-dollar collection of artifacts. The Supervisor reports to the Director of Exhibits. Typically, Monday-Friday 8-5, with occasional adjustments for special events.
Unique Job Requirements :
Requires a wide skill set and the ability to learn additional skills for new tasks. The best candidate will have experience in many of the required duties and ability and willingness to learn the others. Attitude is as important as aptitude. Candidate must have supervisory experience. This is not a typical warehouse position.
Job Tasks Logistics :
- Oversee low volume warehouse, with occasional peaks for larger shipments.
- Supervise and motivate a team of 2-3.
- Focus on cost effective shipping and documentation.
- Oversee and evaluate brokers for international shipments and prepare critical customs documentation like commercial invoices and packing lists.
- Shipping or receiving new artifacts with a focus on proper packing and handling.
- Inventory and labeling.
- Warehouse supply ordering.
- Warehouse equipment maintenance programs.
- Safety programs and reports as required.
- Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
- Assist with annual budget preparation.
- Consult with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Plan work, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
