Job Summary
Rise Aero Academy is a single airplane, part 61 flight school located at the Medford airport (KMFR). We fly a VFR only Cessna 150 and are looking for a qualified flight instructor to help students earn their private pilot certificate. We use an online ground school (Gold Seal), so the instructor can primarily focus on flying. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of aviation principles and Federal Aviation Regulations, with the ability to effectively communicate and educate students in both classroom and flight settings. Responsibilities
- Conduct flight training sessions in accordance with established curriculum and FAA regulations.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the educational needs of students.
- Provide classroom instruction on aviation theory, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and training hours.
- Communicate effectively with students to foster an engaging learning environment.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in flight instruction.
- Participate in curriculum development to enhance training programs.
Experience
- Previous experience as a flight instructor or in a similar educational role is preferred.
- Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations and aviation safety standards.
- Experience working with students of varying skill levels, including those from military backgrounds.
- Strong public speaking skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse student groups.
- A commitment to continuous professional development in aviation education.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
