We are looking to hire a full or part-time para educator for the 2025-2026 school year at the RISE Academy Campus.

Responsibilities Include:
- Under the direction of the assigned school administrator(s), provide behavior management and/or instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or outside of the classroom
- Monitor and report student behavior and performance
- Actively supervise students in indoor and outdoor spaces as assigned
- Administer minor first aid
- Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow-up on learning activities
- Assist students in locating and using resource materials
- Assist in the development of a variety of instructional materials
- Assist students who may have specific accommodations identified in a student’s Individualized Learning Plan
- Assist with grading, recording, and distributing student work assignments; check-in homework and papers returned
- Promote positive student behavior, self-dignity, and independence through the use of positive reinforcement strategies
- Communicate with classroom teachers, parents, school administrators, and the school counselor concerning student needs and progress
- Participating in staff professional development activities
- Completing appropriate documentation for students participating in special programs as required by state and federal guidelines
- Abiding by the staff handbook, all policies, procedures, laws, and state/federal regulations
- Assisting with school events and extracurricular activities
- Performing other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Qualities:
- Associate degree from an accredited university
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- Ability to effectively manage student behavior
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Skill in modifying instruction for various student needs
- Ability to work with various forms of equipment including, but not limited to, personal computers, calculators, projectors, and printers
- Ability to work with computer tools, including but not limited to, email, internet, word processing and spreadsheets
- Ability to work in collaborative team-based environments
Preferred Skills/Qualities:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Curriculum Instruction, or other education-related field
- 2 years of teaching experience in a formal setting
- Professional learning credentials
Compensation:
The compensation range is based on credentials, working experience, academic degrees, and certifications. Children of staff members may be eligible for tuition discounts.
Salary : $23 - $28
