Front Desk Receptionist (Check-Out)
Position Overview:
The Front Desk Receptionist – Check-Out is responsible for ensuring a seamless end-of-visit process for patients. More importantly, it's the first impression our patients get when they walk in our door, so making them feel like family is our gold standard approach. This role focuses on scheduling follow-up appointments, processing payments, and providing patients with necessary post-visit information. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check out patients efficiently and ensure they receive all necessary documentation.
- Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and procedures as needed.
- Collect payments, including balances, and any outstanding charges.
- Provide patients with after-visit summaries, and instructions.
- Coordinate referrals and obtain prior authorizations if required.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, appointments, and provider availability.
- Ensure all patient information is updated in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a medical front desk or billing role preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing and payment processing.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems and scheduling software.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
