What We Need:
We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and safety minded Camp Activity Specialist - Lifeguard staff member to lead games and activities and provide Lifeguard duty during aquatic activities. While creating a high energy environment, this role will be responsible for providing surveillance of participants during aquatic programing, regularly check rescue equipment to ensure safe operations, and lead activities and encourage campers to engage and participate. This applicant must be at least 18 years of age and be available during the entire camp season.
Position Type: Seasonal
Weekly camp Schedule: Monday- Friday

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead activities and encourage campers to engage and participate.
- Create a high energy and safe environment.
- Provide surveillance of participants during aquatic programing.
- Regularly check rescue equipment to ensure safe operations.
- Take appropriate and prudent action in emergency situations.
- As needed, there may be times you are asked to assist in other areas outside of lifeguarding as the program director assigns.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Current Waterfront Lifeguard, CPR and First aid certifications.
Training/Certification can be provided by Rising Light Ridge.
- Leadership skills to guide and motivate campers throughout their week.
- Must be available during the entire camp season.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to lift and carry 40-50 lb. Ability to push, pull, twist, and turn in a safe manner. Exceptional swimming skills, and the ability to stand for at least 4 hours, walk and run on uneven terrain, and assist participants as needed.
