Job Summary:
Responsible for analyzing financial and operational results to gain a detailed understanding of the current business conditions and making recommendations to improve business performance, and will provide analysis for specific request of business results.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
The duties of the Financial Analyst, include but are not limited to:
Review actual results versus forecast and plan and investigates material variances and identify areas of opportunity for the business and establish KPIs
Acquire data and underlying assumptions to be used in the creation of a monthly reporting package, annual budget and various other reporting needs
Prepare, review and distribute monthly reporting package highlighting key results
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, annual and ad hoc reporting packages
Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations
Participate in projects within the business to help design process improvements and to make sure changes ultimately improve, reporting, enhance timeliness and impact to the business
Other responsibilities could include: month end entries and reporting, variance analysis, reconciling general ledger accounts and budgeting
Special projects and other duties as assigned from time to time
- Bachelors’ degree in Finance or Accounting required
- 2 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting, including experience with analysis, forecasting and budgeting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; expert level Excel
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, challenging work environment
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess excellent organization and time-management skills
- Demonstrate ability to be a team player, self-motivated and dependable
- Demonstrate ability to well organized and detail-orientated
