- This person needs to have been working as an Oracle Cloud DBA working with Oracle 19c for at least the last 2 years.
- They also will need to have ExadataCS experience. Disaster Recovery understanding is also key. There's a lot on the job description, but those items I just called out are key.
- This person will spend 50% of the doing application DBA support in the cloud and 50% of the time mentoring, training, and teaching 12 onshore and 5 offshore DBA's.
- Assist in Cloud Strategy, deploying and migration of applications and services to the Oracle Cloud using PaaS, IaaS, and serverless solutions.
- Build, deploy, and maintain multi-tier architectures : load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking in an Oracle Cloud environment.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code for the deployment and management of infrastructure.
- Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) on Oracle cloud technologies and services and provide operational support and troubleshooting on the most complex issues.
- Assist in maintaining the services needed to bridge cloud and on-prem architecture.
- Manage and operate scalable, highly available fault tolerant systems and develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system / data backup, disaster recovery, and security / performance monitoring of our cloud-based systems.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
- Create and maintain design documents, troubleshooting guides, and operational maintenance procedures.
- Install / Configure / Design / Tune cloud databases for the IBM MAXIMO MAS8 application in the Oracle cloud (with HA and DR requirements).
- Introduce best practices into the company's solutions while adhering to company's compliance standards.
