What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rita's - Morning ice maker position at Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a new Rita's family member to join us as an ice maker/store prepper! You will be responsible for making our delicious Italian ice that will be served for the day, and preparing the store to open by performing all opening tasks such as turning on machines, changing trash, washing dishes, etc.
Must be independent and self-motivated, as after training you will be working alone.
Typical hours would be roughly Monday-Friday 8am-12pm, but start time is flexible if you can or want to start earlier.
Duties:
- Prepare all of the ices for the day, using Rita's approved products and recipes
- Ensure all necessary equipment and systems are functioning properly
- Stock items as needed
-Update menu boards & delivery tablets
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store
Skills:
- Strong understanding of measuring with fractions, especially halves, fourths, and eighths
- Be able to add and subtract decimals in order to accurately fill out production sheets
- Ability to read and follow recipes
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely opening of the store
- Organizational skills to maintain a neat and orderly store environment
