DEPARTMENT: Franchise Development
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create conceptual/final shop designs and layouts, design packages for distribution franchisees/architects/contractors with Auto CADD and Blue Beam programs.
- Demonstrate proficient use, application and manipulation of Auto CADD/Blue Beam software programs to setup files and product production drawings.
- Conduct design meetings with Rita’s franchisees, architects, engineers and other staff personnel to finalize the design for all shops.
- Communicate with architects, contractors, equipment vendors to verify and update equipment data sheets, plan files and design blocks for use with Auto CADD and Blue Beam software programs.
- Review Building codes, Zoning Ordinances and Land Use Regulations/Requirements to validate all conceptual designs and or design best practices.
- Review site submissions for viability as a potential new store location
- Participate in site tours with SR Director of Development, franchisees, brokers and others
- Supports franchisees during the pre-design, design, and permitting phases of construction to assist franchisees with permitting process.
- Maintain, manage and organize all Auto CADD/Blue Beam Design data in Construction Project files for all shops.
- Provide regular updates to the development team on project progress and maintain appropriate portion(s) of the development report.
- Builds and maintains strong, collaborative, cross-functional relationships with all departments.
- Other duties as requested, directed or assigned to include high-priority projects that affect strategic development
Required Education and Experience:
- Degree in architectural design or construction related field or equivalent experience.
- Candidates should have architectural/engineering or construction related background or equivalent experience.
- 2 Years Minimum Experience- Could be a recent graduate depending on applicable curriculum

- Intermediate or advanced in Microsoft Office Suite program
- Professional presentation and excellent communication skills both on/off the phone and zoom video meetings.
- Intermediate skill level or higher in the following Illustrator, Editor, Etc.
- Must have some knowledge of Sketchup 3-D or modeling software in Auto CADD.
