POSITION SUMMARY : Perform all tasks involved in the production of Ritchie Engineering Company SealRight™ Department products. This includes, but is not limited to : assembling plugs, seal rights and ball valves; bending barbs; attaching handles to ball valves; prepping handles and sleeves; cleaning, testing and inspecting parts. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible while producing first quality product.RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Performs assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools Inspect brass parts, components and gasketsBend barbs to a 45° angleAssemble spring, depressor, plug, and E-clip for seal right productAssemble barbs and other components into ball valves Prime and clean parts with rubbing alcoholCheck parts and test assembled product for first qualityReport any product concerns after testing to the department supervisorPlace finished goods on the designated pallet or warehouse location with proper labelingLight duty soldering of brass fittingsNotify supervisor of any mechanical or material issuesMaintain a clean and safe work areaPerforms other related duties and assignments as required Other duties as assigned including working in other production departments as neededHOURS : This is a full-time 40 hour per week role working Monday - Friday between the hours of 7 : 00am and 3 : 30pm. Potential for occasional overtime and Saturdays once hired on internally.REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : Willingness to learnProficiency in reading and writing in EnglishPREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : Experience working in a manufacturing settingSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC : Must be highly self-motivated, work with minimal supervision able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Lifting, Bending, Stretching, etc.)The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
