Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role involves providing comprehensive care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality medical services in our facility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and performing physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring appropriate management plans are established.
- Perform procedures such as venipuncture and botulinum toxin treatment as needed.
- Triage patients effectively, prioritizing care based on severity of conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level II Trauma Center setting to provide optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention strategies.
- Stay updated on advancements in nursing practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and hospital medicine practices.
- Experience in emergency room settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift patients as necessary while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Previous experience in triage or trauma care is advantageous.
