Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking an organized, reliable, and driven Security Firewall Engineer to work as part of our field service team with core networking and security experience in deploying Cisco Firepower threat detection (FTD) integrating FMC and managing ASA Firewall. This onsite position is at one of contract sites in Newport RI. The engineer will work internally as part of organization's IT support team and externally to provide networking solutions for the organization's clients.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, manage, maintain, and support Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), advance security features, security intelligence with IP, URL, and DNS threat intelligence, IPS, Cisco AMP for endpoints & AMP threat grid sandboxing
- Ability architect and design enterprise level distributed security firewalls in complex LAN/SD-WAN/SASE network security solutions
Skills of Interest:
- Strong understanding in the following technologies and protocols: RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, NAT, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES
- Proven experience in LAN/WAN topologies as it relates to routing & switching configuration and protocol implementation, network security, segmentation, endpoint policy enforcement.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts, perform routine maintenance and updates.
- Carry out troubleshooting and problem resolution for network security issues.
- Develop and maintain firewall policies and protocols.
- Conduct regular security audits and provide detailed reports to management.
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum five years' Firewall experience (Cisco, Palo Alto firewalls)
- Certifications - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco CCNP or CCIE preferred.
- CompTIA Security , CompTIA CASP or ISC2 CISSP preferred
- Position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance with the US government; active security clearance preferred
- Military or government experience preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain a US passport, active passport preferred
- Travel required (15 days per year)
